Five of the seven trumpets that signify the end of the age have come to pass. Looking to Revelation 8:8-9, the Bible explains that a third of the ships involved in the conflict that coincides with the activation of this trumpet will be destroyed.

During World War II, approximately one third of the ships that participated in the conflict were sunk. In turn, the nuclear bomb deployed at Hiroshima resembled “something like a great mountain burning with fire,” a sight that was new on the world stage. When a person has repented and been baptized in the name of Jesus, scripture tells us that our sins are remitted. Jesus paid that price for us. So if you stumble or even fall, get back up brush yourself off, ask for forgiveness and keep pressing on.

WilliamI’m absolutely amazed at this. I was trying to interpret most of these events like you guys have, but you really blew me out of the water with this. Only seconds ago did I realize that I could use past events as possible, yet relevant data for the Trumpets themselves. I noticed that very recently, we’ve had a mountain fall into the ocean of sorts. The Glacier, which is more of a literal interpretation of what Jesus said in the bible.

But taking it into a more hinting nature, and rereading the passage that talks about the first trumpet, I can see why the Incident at Hiroshima could take the cake. God essentially created Einstein so we could sound the first trumpet. Amazing when you think about it. That guy is a grandmaster chess player’s master.But never in a million years would I have connected Chernobyl to Wormwood.

Also had no idea that Chernobyl even MEANT “Wormwood.” Pretty amazing stuff. And also for the 6th trumpet where Jesus talked about the army of 200,000,000 I did think it was China for the most part. But then again, as you mentioned, the Islamic terrorist group ISIS, could probably essentially be thought of as just as powerful. And it would make sense because they claim to be the cause of multiple acts of terror around the world. Plaguing nations, and corrupting many people.I haven’t read the bible yet. Became Christian not too long ago. It took me a while to come around to it due to my continuously curious and scientific mind. Disappointed in the Leather - Gold NOT Silver edges or scripting - Review by PattiWe can all agree that what is IN the bible is the important thing! I have not had this bible long enough to review the study notes - I purchased this study bible because of other reviews by pastors. I paid the extra to get the leather and my name scripted on it because I knew it would be my bible for years.

First the good - the pages are quite nice and lay flat. The 11 pt text is very much appreciated and makes it very easy to read. The notes look like they will be a huge benefit in just about every aspect of studying the bible. My first impression was surprise - and not a good surprise. I was expecting silver edging as advertised - but it is gold and I think it looks very tacky. DEFINITELY NOT worth the extra $ for the scripting OR the leather. The leather feels cheap and the front cover is already not laying flat when closed.

(I have had this about 3 days and have not had much time to sit down with it as we have had a huge forest fire going on around us and my husband is a firefighter.) I am a note taker - and I realized I would not have huge margins, but the margins are hardly there at all. Not something you can take notes in at all. I will have to get a notebook and carry it with my bible somehow. I am very sad about this because it is always a journey to look back through my bible and read my notes from years ago - I am replacing my old bible because it is literally full of notes. All in all - I would NOT recommend this bible unless you have seen it in person! This was a big purchase for me and I was so excited to get it. My heart sank when I saw it.

(Posted on 8/18/15). Great contents but high quality binding - Review by ChanceThe contents of this study Bible are very reliable. Lots of in text maps, notes, crossreference, and word definitions.

I used the Thompson Chain Reference Bible for 15 years now and have slowly converted over to using this Bible because of ease of use. My only complaint with this Bible is the quality of the binding. The bonded leather is very stiff and doesnt lay flat until you get to almost half way through the Bible.

I havent tried the leather soft but i am thinking that would be a better option if you want a Bible that will lay flat when opened when opened to Genisis. (Posted on 2/26/19).
