Identify Nvidia Graphics Card By Serial Number
You should be able to boot into windows using the card with default windows drivers. Just make sure you delete the old VGA drivers before you do the swap.When you have booted into windows do the following.Win 7.StartAll programsAccessoriesSystem toolsSystem information (it will pull open a window)Expand -ComponentsDisplay adapter.copy and paste the device pnp ID.it should look like this.PNP Device IDPCIVEN1002&DEV6719&SUBSYS0B001002&REV0&0&0008then google the DEV string. DEV6719this should give you your card model.For the example above the device is a HD6950. And googleing the Dev number gives you links to the HD6900 series drivers.
