Hi there,so i have a 2016 J5, it has been working perfectly for the last how many years, however i decided it was time to get a new phone. So for the last month it has been off, but i switched it off the last time i used it.

Now i really need this phone to work as i dropped the new phone, but it is in the bootloop. I tried doing all the steps. I've been struggling. When i try to clear cache it fails, when i try to reset, it fails. When i try any of the options on the list it keeps failing, i cant even get into 'safe mode'.

Honestly don't even know what to do. All articles are based on if everything works, but nobody puts an article of ' if it says it failed' please can someone help. Hello, I am Darren Teo. I recently got my Samsung A5 stuck in a boot loop after it dropped halfway into water. I cleaned it off, and managed to open the recovery menu. However, in the menu, I am unable to select any options(I can still choose them, but it does not register me hitting the power button). My phone is not rooted, but there appears to be this wording,#MANUAL MODE#- Appling Multi-CSC -Applied the CSC-code: MM1Successfully applied multi-CSCIs this normal?

Please help me, as I have valuable work in my phone, and I don't wish to lose it.I can see that you have accidentally dropped your phone into water. It is recommended to give it to a Samsung service center rather than repairing it by yourself. No matter how you clean it, there will be some drops of water inside and it can damage the phone permanently.

The end result will be weird behavior like this. Hello, I am Darren Teo. I recently got my Samsung A5 stuck in a boot loop after it dropped halfway into water. I cleaned it off, and managed to open the recovery menu.

That is normal. But you can still do the bootloop steps. And they are hundred percent working also:-)You can try this detailed tutorial to do the same; http://www.samsungsfour.com/tutorials/how-to-wipe-data-factory-reset-wipe-cache-partition-and-wipe-dalvik-cache-on-samsung-galaxy-smartphones.html. Dear Samsungsfour moderator,I have an UNROOTED Samsung Galaxy Lite (SGH-T399) from T-Mobile that is facing problems similar to the issues described above, but I am unable to enter recovery mode on it! I've followed the steps correctly, as I've watched videos also on how to enter it.

The screen does a momentary 'refresh' kind of blink like it would if it were going into recovery, but then it just goes back to being in a boot loop as soon as I release the power button. I have no idea how this happened, seeing that it's never been tampered with, and I was wondering if you had any ideas? It worked fine as of maybe 2pm yesterday, then I was off doing something and the moment I came back,it was stuck in the boot-loop.Your device may have gone through some automatic update. But if you are not able to enter recovery mode.

Only option left is download mode. Try this for that; install the stock firmware on your device using odin. I don't really think that the problem I'm facing is a boot loop. The tab is starting normally and going to the home screen, but then restarts without any warning within 2 to 5 minutes.I have some pictures that I have not backed up, and am looking for an option that is less drastic than a factory reset! Any suggestions, please? It looks like you don't have any other option except resetting your device. Try adb file transfer to backup your data. Also please let me know whether you have done the above steps already.

If not please do it. Hey guys, I'm having a little bit of trouble here. I cannot enter into recovery mode after attempting to root my Galaxy tab 10.1 p5220,I can get into recovery mode if I reflash it with the standard ROM by holding power home and vol +, and I can get to download mode in any state, but the recovery command will not work after attempting to root with odin and auto root tool. Any ideas? You may have rooted with wrong file. Find out the same file and root it again after that clear the cache from recovery mode.

Dear i tried to root my New note 3 neo with odin with the same instruction but after rooted my phone not even start for a single time.it appears Samsung galaxy note 3 neo and stacked on that. I tried to followed your instruction for factory reset but my phone is not showing any after holing/long press volume up kep + home key + power key. It showed same Samsung galaxy note 3 neo.

And right now im in Western africa & the resources are zero. Csn you please help me how can i reset my phone.Did you released the power button when you see your phone model number on screen while keeping all other buttons? If still you are not able to enter into recovery mode, then there is only one option left.

You have to flash your phone with the stock rom. But please note that all your phone data will be lost once you do this so be careful. For that you need to enter into download mode. For that press and hold 'Volume Down'+'Home'+'Power' buttons at the same and press volume up button once you get a warning screen. If you are not able to enter download mode also, then the only option left is to contact a repair shop. If you are able to enter 'download mode' then find your stock rom and flash it using odin. So the updates have caused this.

Please follow the above steps carefully and your issue will be resolved.Hello, happy new year. Sorry was not able to respond to you on how it went due busy holidays. It is not about the software updates. The software is working perfectly fine. I was able to determine the issue when I brought the phone to the repair guy. My power switch was the culprit since it's already shorted.

The repair guy told me that this is a common issue for Samsung and he has replaced several switches already in the past. It cost me around $20 (labor and materials) to replace it. I know it may be cheap so I am hoping this switch will last long.:-.:lol:Anyway, thanks again for your help. Btw, just to share you, I am planning to factory reset my phone just to be sure. Will the firmware revert to its original, stock version? If so, will there be any problem if there is a huge jump on the update?:-?Happy new year to you also.I am happy to hear that your issue is resolved:lol:. It will only remove the data on the phone, like apps, files etc. So the updates have caused this. Please follow the above steps carefully and your issue will be resolved.Hello, happy new year.

If you ask me, I would suggest visiting the nearest repair center.:-). On my SG S4 GT-19505- it hanged up on a black screen, then i tried restarting it using the power button but nothing happened.

So i tried the following:1. I tried removing the battery and then it vibrates on its own, once I reached the samsung logo and its phone model for 1-2secs, it turns off.2. I also tried the hard reset method(volume up,power switch and menu button) I can see the samsung logo, its phone model and 'recovery boot.' On the upper left of the screen for 1-2secs and then it turns off.3. I tried plugging the charger but nothing happens even if I try both steps (1 & 2)mentioned above.4.

I tried a different battery on my phone and the same thing happens while doing the steps (1,2&3) mentioned above.5. I tried my battery on a different phone and the battery life is in good condition, 50+%.Not sure if there is a problem in my power switch button but before I bring this phone to the repairman, I hope you could suggest other ways to troubleshoot this.

Its fine if i will lose all the data if thats the only way to save the phone. Thanks and hope to hear something from you the soonest. Again, thank you very much. When did this issue started? I mean did you updated or try to root it?I have no clue when did this started, or what app, file, data caused this. I did not try to root this or something.

Again, thank you very much. Hallo, i have a samsung GTS6500D, and on it have a bootloop and i cant turn in it in recovery mod. I'd tried in download mode to flash the stock rom via odin.

Odin showed a pass but the bootloop is still remaind. A tried to flash a cwm recovery but no effect(no recovery mode) please help.thxThere is no stage like you cannot enter into recovery mode.

Most common mistake people do is that they hold all the keys. What you need to do is release the 'Power' button once you see your phone model number on the screen while holding the other buttons. I have galaxy grand 2 (7102) and after i do firmware installation process its end with no results or negative results too.that means device software damage as well mega device hangs or startup problem.exactly issue number 5: Phone stuck up in the phone model number screen.the biggest problem is (I CAN'T INTER TO RECOVERY MODE AT ALL), please help if u canthanks alotThere is no other way to enter 'recovery mode' than this. You are not entering recovery mode because you have done it wrong. Please follow the steps carefully. Because it is a little tricky to enter into recovery mode. Hello one more time. Tried to change the password through device manager on play store and I can't because the phone doesn't connect until you put the password, I can see that the network is able but not for data although I have hire it.Thank you again.I didn't quite get you, what you meant by 'I can see that the network is able but not for data although I have hire it.' Also next time please don't post questions regarding this here as this is not a relevant post to your queries.Thanks. I tried many custom and stock roms and they seems to work properly (except the stock roms who left the screen in absolutely black) but none of them remove the problem of the password. I solved the bootloop problem with the file named 'param' who releases it good but what I really need is to skip the password in any way or make a completely hard reset maybe an alternative tool or concrete wipe archive for my device (remembering the problem of the black screen to do factory reset with stock roms indifferently if you flashed with Odin or Kies). Thank you for your time.So I guess your main problem is password.

Please follow the below given link;you will get the option to remotely change your device password. Just use the Lock option there. But you need to have access to your Google Account. I tried many custom and stock roms and they seems to work properly (except the stock roms who left the screen in absolutely black) but none of them remove the problem of the password. Thank you for your time. Hello, my problem is that my phone has not recovery mode because it is rooted by Odine, so the only way to modify something is through this application. I tried with an archive named param, installing the stock rom with Kies, another archive named wipe to make a hard reset and I don't find the solution. I only need to make a hard reset via Odin or whatever, I don't care. If you can please please help me with this issue I'll be very grateful. Thanks in advance.Even if your phone is rooted with Odin or without it your phone can be entered into recovery mode. Please do the steps exactly as given above.

You didn't mention your phone, othervice I would have given the dedicated tutorial for that.:-).
